2026 CFM Exam

Are you interested in becoming a Certified Floodplain manager (CFM ®)?  

The CFM exam will be hosted in person at the MnAFPM conference in Rochester MN on November 6th.

This is a great opportunity to take the exam in person. On November 4th a Floodplain Basics training will also be provided at the conference, which can help with preparation for the exam.

The registration deadline is Thursday October 15th.

If interested, please register here: CFM Application and check the “Exam Event (conference/workshop)” box under Exam Details and put “2026 MN Annual Conference”  in the Event Location & Date field.

The exam will be taken on a computer, but with in-person proctoring. You will need a laptop with administrator privileges, or ability to install exam software through your IT group. A small number of extra laptops may be available, please reach out to one of the proctors below if you have registered for the exam and think you will need to borrow a computer.
