2021 MnAFPM-WAFSCM Conference

November 2021, we are returning to an in-person conference, and joining the Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater, and Coastal Management (WAFSCM) to co-host a conference in La Crosse.

The Conference will be held November 3 - 5.

  • Wednesday, November 3 - Workshops, Tour, and Exhibitor reception

  • Thursday, November 4 - Main Conference day

  • Friday, November 5 - CFM Exam

The conference will consist of presentations on all things floodplain and stormwater management - the National Flood Insurance Program, planning and preparedness, mitigation, recovery, zoning administration, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, dams and levees, case studies, and mapping. This year, we are particularly excited about discussing developing guidance on 2D modeling and FEMA’s new Risk Rating 2.0.

Full Registration Fees:

  • Conference Registration: $140

  • Field Tour (not included with basic registration): $40

  • Students: $25 (includes field tour)

  • Thursday Lunch Only: $25

  • Local Government Officials/Staff or Students may attend for free (including travel/lodging) with Scholarship Application

For those interested in taking the CFM Certification Exam - Look for this test to be posted on ASFPM's CFM Exam Offerings page and register there.

A block of rooms is being held at the Home2 Suites by Hilton at $91 per night. Guests can either call the front desk or utilize the booking link here. Other nearby hotels include the Holiday Inn, Radisson, Courtyard by Marriott, or Fairfield Inn.
