Maple River Aqueduct Physical Model Tour

Post date: Jun 18, 2014 2:25:00 PM

As part of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Flood Risk Management Project a 70-foot by 80-foot physical model of the Maple River Aqueduct was constructed by the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory. The model, built for the Army Corps of Engineers and the project sponsors, is used to test and evaluate how water will flow through the aqueduct prior to the development of plans and specificiations for this project component.

On Thursday, July 24th you're invited to view the physical model at UMore Park in Rosemount, to learn more about the project and see the model in operation. If you're interested in attending with other MnAFPM members, we're planning to tour the model as a group at 10:30 AM. If you'd like to join us, please send an email to Lisa Buchli (lisa.a.buchli@usace.army.mil) to RSVP. If you'd rather attend on your own, feel free to stop by UMore Park any time between 9 AM and 4PM on July 24th. We hope to see you there!
