2013 Conference

The annual conference of the Minnesota Association of Floodplain Managers was held in Austin, Minnesota on November 20-22th, 2013. The theme of the conference was "SPAM: Successful Planning and Management for Improved Flood Resilience." There were approximately 110 attendees. Major topics discussed included, dam modifications, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, recovery programs, flood control projects, stream restorations, case studies and mapping. Next year’s conference location was voted on in a survey from the 2013 attendees and will be held in Duluth.
